Cottage Landscapes is a small, family run business based in Great Bromley, a small village outside of Colchester, Essex. Cottage Landscapes started trading in January 2020, following Paul's 24+ years experience in the landscaping industry.

Paul started at the age of 14, helping his grandfather at weekends labouring and laying turf. When he left school, he began as a ground-worker and civil engineer and quickly developed skills working on bigger projects such as construction for Premier Inn hotels.
​
His interest quickly evolved from big projects to more personalised projects, being able to see the finer detail and job satisfaction from start to finish.
​
In 2014, he began working for a landscaping company, completing intricate projects such as, complete garden renovations, installation of bridges, a nine-hole putting green, picket fencing, fish ponds, decking, patios, groundwork and erecting garden sheds and outbuildings.
​
Paul began working on a larger scale, focusing on personalised, projects like installation of ménages and other equestrian utilities as well as becoming an expert installer for Jacksons Fencing. After 6 years of developing skills, Paul took a leap of faith and devised 'Cottage Landscapes.'

I’ve appointed Cottage Landscapes on two separate projects. The first was a maintenance contract involving initial ground clearance, marrying in and improving an existing landscape area and garden against the street. The second consisted of setting out, excavation and construction of a raft foundation for a significant
Garden structure.
In both cases this company was both courteous and professional throughout the whole process. From initial contact and discussions regarding the project design and practical solutions to construction issues all the way through to implementation and ongoing management the service was faultless.
